Senior Project Manager in Digital Development

As a senior project manager at Limetta you lead technically advanced projects from start to finish. We are looking for someone with experience of running digital projects with many dependencies, high quality requirements and clear business value. You have a technical foundation to stand on and enjoy being the link between the client, the development team and internal specialists – whether it concerns code, system architecture or business logic

We are a team of around thirty digital experts who together cover the entire chain – from strategy, UX and design to frontend, backend and project management. With us you become part of a tight-knit team where technology, creativity and structure meet in every project.

About the role

You are responsible for ensuring the project has a clear direction, the right prerequisites and a strong team behind it – and that it is delivered on time, within budget and with high quality.

Together with the client you identify goals, needs and risks and help shape the project's content and scope. You act as an advising partner and coordinator, both towards the client and internally – with particular focus on technology, structure and execution.

You work closely with developers, strategists and other specialists and adapt methodology to the project's needs, most often based on agile ways of working. You ensure the project's scope is clear and kept within limits, that communication flows and that the team has the right conditions to do a really good job.

Projects are almost always carried out using agile methods, but we adapt the methodology to the needs of the assignment.

Our technical environment

Our projects are run in a modern environment with C#/.NET as a base. Depending on the assignment we also use TypeScript, React or Vue, and many of our solutions are built in CMS tools such as Optimizely (Episerver) or Umbraco. We work in Azure DevOps (Git) and care about a well-functioning, modern development process where the project manager collaborates closely with the development team.

We think you

Have several years of experience leading web or software projects
Have good technical understanding – preferably from previous experience as a developer or a technical education
Can readily understand technical solutions and can talk technology with both developers and non-technical stakeholders
Are used to driving projects from start to finish and are familiar with both requirements specification as well as testing and delivery
Understand the interaction between the creative process, the underlying technology and external systems – e.g. frontend, backend, CMS and integrations
Have experience communicating with clients, development teams and other stakeholders
Are structured, communicative and confident in your role as a leader
Speak and write fluent Swedish – this is important in our projects and in dialogue with clients
Have a good command of English, sufficient to handle communication and collaboration with international clients

Nice to have

Experience of Optimizely/Episerver, Umbraco or other web platforms
Understanding of integration projects, APIs, hosting environments or performance issues
Certification in project management (for example Scrum, PMI or IPMA)
Familiarity with accessibility requirements according to WCAG and regulations such as GDPR
Experience working in Jira or similar tools for agile project management

Responsibilities in the role include

Preparing, planning and executing digital projects, e.g. websites, strategy projects, integration projects
Acting as product owner internally and as the client’s representative in the project group
Project-managing your team consisting of different competencies and areas of responsibility, from sharp system developers to skilled creatives
Planning and conducting kick-off meetings and workshops with the client
Conducting sprint planning and standups with the project team
Following up on project budget, reporting status to the client on an ongoing basis and invoicing
Proactively spotting and suggesting new digital opportunities for our clients

Work experience

At least 5 years' experience of leading digital projects with technical complexity and multiple dependencies
Preferably a background as a software developer or in another technical role
Experience of working in agile projects and adapting methodology to the needs of the assignment
Used to prioritising between resources, scope and time
Experience of client-facing work with responsibility for external deliveries and business value

Education

A relevant academic education – preferably with a technical focus in software development, computer science or information technology
Alternatively equivalent knowledge, combined with several years of practical experience from technically oriented projects
Preferably education or certification in project management, or documented experience of working methodically with project governance
